The test had gone better than expected, four out of five trials were deemed a success. Forty-one people were dead as a result. To those behind the test, they were the right people.

A sudden wave of deaths from an unidentified illness drew the attention of the Centers for Disease Control, and soon after, the police. Was this a crime, or something as simple as tainted food?

In a world steeped in bigotry and hate, there were those who saw themselves as soldiers in an invisible war. A war they would gladly die for. A war they believed they had to win.
